To
support working children's right to education, schoolchildren from the
whole world participate in writing a great book, a compilation of illustrated
stories and reports,
bringing to light the richness of their countries' cultural diversities.
The book's royalties will be paid to the associations which provide education
to those children who work for a living.
Organisation
This worldwide writing workshop will be led by Marie-Eve.
Schools around the
world
For one year, from October 2001, we will cross about twenty countries,
to meet our budding artists. With the assistance of Unicef and associations,
we are drawing up a list of schools created to provide education to children
who work for a living.
Writing Workshop
Those schoolchildren from the whole world will participate in writing
a book. Each class will give life to a story inspired by their local culture.
We will give them drawing papers and coloured pencils to illustrate their
stories.
A book for children
When we return, a documentary book, fruit of those encounters, will be
published. We are currently in negotiations with the French book publisher
Flammarion. The royalties will be paid to the associations that support
the schools participating in the project.
Website
We intend to share this beautiful adventure via our website.
As our trip progresses, it will be the mouthpiece of our young storywriters
and artists, and will enable you to follow day by day the encounters and
the discoveries which will stand as milestones along our route.
